KEVIN VAN HALL (guitar, bass, drumset) has been teaching at Music Spectrum School since 2013. Also a Fairfax County Public Schools specialist in teaching fine arts, Kevin has a Bachelor of Arts from Florida Gulf Coast University and a Masters in Education specializing in curriculum development. He has over 20 years of experience playing and teaching acoustic, electric guitar, and bass guitar. His percussion instruction focuses on the Rapid Drum Set Improvement Method. For many years, Mr. VanHall was a professional studio/live drummer as well as a touring musician and band leader. He has opened for multiple well-known bands and was a featured artist at large concert events put on by major rock radio syndicates. His studio credits include an independent album release in 2008. Currently, Mr. VanHall is focused on teaching the next generation of musicians interested in guitar, bass, and drums.

CLARK (YongHak) LEE (percussion) joined the Music Spectrum Faculty in 2021. He has been playing the drums for more than 20 years and has over 17 years of teaching experience. In his native South Korea, he worked with and recorded with many famous artists such as Myung Shik Kang, Yohan Choi, Eun Joo Jeon, Do Hyun, the 26th Division Military Band, Anointing, Bridge Builders, and Cornerstones. He has a passion for music education as well as performance. He has published three books on percussion technique and taught hundreds of students in seminars and lectures both in Korea and since immigrating to the US in 2016. He is currently the director of the Open Door Presbyterian Church (ODPC) Band Academy, a music program that operates with 20 musicians and 100 students every year. He performs regularly at both ODPC and Korean Central Presbyterian Churches. He previously ran the New York Music Institute. At home, Clark also enjoys passing on the drumming legacy to his seven year old son and four year old twins.
